Wow. It has been some time since I’ve worked out enough to even warrant a weekly recap. I am not up to the total number of workouts I want to do every week, but I am working on it. I am not sure I shared this but I got sick right after receiving TurboFire in the mail for two weeks, took a week off and became sick again for another week.
After some thought I asked myself: why did it have to be either all running, or following a workout program to the tee? I watch Kelly Olexa on Youtube, and she mentioned previously that she gets bored when she tries to follow only one program so she moves fluidly between multiple programs. I wondered if that would help with my own boredom/commitment issues so I am trying to mix it up a little. So far, it seems to be working better for me. Some days I just don’t feel like running, and some days I just want to get outside or go to the gym instead working out in the house alone. Having flexibility to do either seems to prevent me from completely skipping a workout. Still it is about baby steps.
Here is what I did this week:

TurboFire 45 EZ class plus stretch 10. This was my first time doing this video. It was an intense but fun workout. I have a couple of hard workout videos, but there is something about Chalene that makes me smile even though she is kicking my butt.

Run/Walk. I run for 20 minutes followed by 25 minutes of walking. I ran 1.76 miles. The walking topped my miles at 3.45 total. You can do the math to figure out how many miles I walked if you care to:)
Sunday
Ran/Walk. I do not know if I ever ran two days in the row but I definitely know I did not do it recently. My legs were sore (not likely from the previous run) but I pushed through. I ran for 20 minutes followed by 25 minutes of walking. I am very satisfied with my workouts this week. I plan to continue this trend for the rest of my life (dramatic much?)
Do you mix between various programs? Does it work for you?

I love the idea of mixing it up. I also love the fact tha you posted your weekly workout. I thing I want to start doing that. I just started regular workouts again 2 days ago. I promised myself to do something different than the day before and do more crosstraining.
