Kinda. Can you believe that Monday was thekchronicle’s first blogiversary?
I had no idea. No idea. For some reason, I thought I started this blog last spring.
So it has been a year, and I have really just been dabbling in the blogging world. I was unsure of what I really wanted to get out of blogging. I am actually very private and shy, so I was unsure about how much I would be willing to share. I am also not an expert on any topic, nor am I trying to create a career out of this. I did want to connect with people, and have been doing that more and more. I even get actual comments, which I love. It has been a nice quiet entry into the blogging world.
During the second year I really want to work on my blog. I want to connect with even more bloggers/readers, maybe even participate in one of the various conferences or attend meet ups. I also want to open up more, and share more about my life and experiences. I basically have two goals this year:
Blog consistently. I still cannot imagine blogging daily, but at least two-three times a week. Possibly on a set schedule. I like doing weekly recaps of my workouts, it helps to keep me honest about what I am really doing. When I am read health, fitness, and some spiritual books, I like to share those books and my thoughts. I am still on a weight loss journey (taking the long way), and hope to return to racing again soon. I hope to to do an update on my weight loss journey by the end of March. I also hope to start acing shorter races in that time.
Upgrade the appearance. My blog is kind of blah. I know it. You know it. I hope to change that. I am currently investigating blog designers/packages. I also want to include more pictures. I am still not comfortable with posting pictures of myself, or identifying photos (I am paranoid….don’t even have photos on my personal Facebook page) but I do run in some beautiful places, and visit beautiful places that would be awesome to share. The photos will likely be phone photos:) Maybe I will take pictures with a real camera. That hasn’t happened in about a year. And those photos are sitting on that camera…. I digress.
Use more social media. I am on Twitter, but I am also going to have a Facebook page and Instagram account. I don’t use Twitter all that often, but I have my spurts. I don’t understand the Twitter chat thing at all, but maybe participate in those more often.
Did you use a blog designer to upgrade the appearance of your blog? Any suggestions on what to do, or not to do?
Love and light,

First Happy Birthday to “TheKChronicle”!
I love reading your blog, and you know I love leaving comments. Anyway I say just jump in when it comes to the blog design. My theme is a simple default WordPress theme, believe it or not. And every now and then I find a way to make it look pretty. A LOT of my photos are from my phone. They are not the greatest, but who cares it is your blog. I think the pictures give my blog personality, but I totally understand the paranoid thing. Well, I hope to see you for years to come out in the blogosphere.
Thank you:) That relieves some pressure about the photo.
